Stripe payments

Connect Stripe, test checkout, and reconcile paid bookings safely.

Cadence Booking can require a Stripe payment during booking. Configure the integration carefully so appointment status and payment status tell the same story.

Connect the correct Stripe account

Open Cadence Booking → Settings → Payments and follow the Stripe connection instructions. Use the Stripe account that should receive payments from your booking customers, and restrict WordPress administrator access to trusted staff.

Your Cadence Booking subscription is a separate purchase from MD79 Inc. Connecting Stripe for appointments does not change the card or invoices used for your Cadence Booking subscription.

Test before going live

Enable Stripe test mode and complete bookings with Stripe test credentials. Cover a successful payment, a declined payment, and a customer who leaves checkout before finishing.

Confirm that only the successful test creates the paid outcome you expect. Review the appointment in WordPress and the corresponding test payment in Stripe; amounts, currency, customer email, and timestamps should agree.

Accept live payments

Switch to live mode only after the entire booking journey passes. Make one low-value real booking, confirm the charge in Stripe, verify both emails, and refund the test transaction if appropriate.

Publish your price, taxes, cancellation terms, and refund terms clearly. Stripe processes the card transaction, but you remain responsible for the services sold through your own booking calendar.

Reconcile and troubleshoot

Use Stripe as the payment ledger and Cadence Booking as the appointment record. Before delivering a paid-only service, confirm that the payment succeeded rather than relying on an email alone.

If a customer reports an error, note the appointment time and email, then compare the Cadence Booking record with Stripe. Never ask a customer to send a full card number or security code by email or support message.
