Guide 01
Getting started
Set up Cadence Booking and prepare your first bookable service.
Cadence Booking adds an appointment flow to your WordPress site. This guide gives you the shortest path from a new installation to a calendar you can test.
Before you begin
You need an active WordPress site, an administrator account, and the Cadence Booking ZIP file. Keep the license email from MD79 Inc. nearby; it contains the key used to activate updates and support.
Before changing a production site, make a current backup and confirm that your host meets the WordPress, PHP, and HTTPS requirements shown on the download page.
Complete the initial setup
- Install Cadence Booking from the ZIP file.
- Activate your license in Cadence Booking → Settings → License.
- Set your business time zone under Cadence Booking → Settings → General.
- Create a service with a clear duration and price.
- Add the weekly hours when that service can be booked.
- Place the booking calendar on a page and submit a test booking.
Use the time zone where the appointment takes place. Cadence Booking displays an appropriate local time to visitors while keeping your schedule consistent.
Verify the customer journey
Open the booking page in a private browser window. Choose a service, select a time, and complete the form as a customer would. Confirm that the appointment appears in WordPress and that both notification emails arrive.
If you collect payment, test with Stripe test mode before accepting a real card. A successful booking test should cover the calendar, confirmation screen, emails, and the appointment record.
Continue configuring Cadence Booking
Once the basic journey works, refine your availabilities, connect Stripe payments, customize email notifications, and review the language settings. Change one area at a time and repeat the private-window test after any important adjustment.
